Academic background Graduated in Law from Birmingham University in 1979. Called to the Bar in 1980. Following successful completion of her Pupillage (general common law with particular emphasis on Civil and Family Law) at St. Mary’s Chambers became a tenant in 1981. Since then, has specialised almost exclusively in Family Law.
Areas of expertise/interest
- Equally at home and experienced with children and ancillary relief cases. Deals with money disputes at all levels and both public and private law children cases, including adoption and wardship.
- Represents Local Authorities, parents, Guardians, teenage children able to give their own instruction and the Official Solicitor in equal measure.
- Particular experience and interest in cases involving learning disabilities, psychiatric and mental health issues (adults and children), non-accidental injury and sexual abuse.
- Expertise includes separate and direct representation of minors as parties in sensitive cases and complex cases involving applications for permanent removal from the jurisdiction and emergency remedies.
- Fully committed to continued representation of both privately and publicly funded clients alike.
