Miriam has previously worked with vulnerable families in the most deprived areas of Sheffield. She has an excellent knowledge base of the different cultural issues that can affect families having worked with the BME communities. Miriam worked for a charity in Birmingham as a qualified debt and benefits advisor and is familiar with the complexities of financial matters. Miriam has undertaken work in all aspects of Family Law including FGM, Court of Protection and Financial Remedies. Miriam successfully became a tenant at St. Mary’s Chambers in January 2018.

Professional background

Miriam graduated in Law from Sheffield Hallam University in 2010. She was awarded the Princess Diana Scholarship and Benefactors Scholarship from Middle Temple to complete the BPTC. Miriam was called to the Bar in 2016 after successfully completing the BPTC at the College of Law Birmingham, achieving a ‘Very Competent’.
