Practice overview

Tim joined chambers after successfully completing a specialist family law pupillage. He accepts instructions in all areas of family law.

Tim is regularly instructed in private law children disputes from FHDRA to final hearing. He has experience of cases involving: implacable hostility and parental alienation; serious allegations of domestic and sexual abuse; and the appointment of rule 16.4 guardians.

Tim has been instructed for parents and local authorities in care proceedings. He has experience of all stages of child protection cases including emergency protection orders and interim care orders.

Tim has in depth knowledge of proceedings under the Family Law Act and regularly accepts instructions in this area.

Tim graduated with MPhys in Physics from the University of St Andrews in 2008 and LLB in Law from Coventry University in 2010.

Prior to completing the Bar Professional Training Course Tim worked as a paralegal and junior fee earner at a generalist high street law firm and a boutique civil litigation firm where he gained a broad experience of all areas of family and civil litigation.
