Matthew O’Grady in High Profile Appointments for RFU

Matthew O’Grady has been in action on behalf of the RFU throughout the first half of the 2018-19 season. In October he supported Wayne Barnes as an Assistant Referee in the Heineken Cup matches between Montpellier v Edinburgh and the following week in the thrilling Toulouse v Leinster match in which the French hosts beat the Irish reigning champions 28-27. Matthew was back in the Gallagher Premiership in November refereeing the Midland derby fixture Northampton Saints v Wasps and then in Round 8 the South West derby, 1st v 3rd, fixture Exeter Chiefs v Gloucester. During Round 8 Matthew, along with all other officials in the Premiership, wore specially designed rainbow shirts as part of Premiership Rugby’s support of the Stonewall’s ‘Make Sport Everyone’s Game’ campaign.
