Role

Scott is responsible for the overall management of all of St. Mary's functions, and drives our vision for strategic management, core service provision, and supporting functions.

Scott works with the Practice Directors to develop and implement innovative processes and service delivery which benefit both our barristers and our clients.

He is the first port of call for any feedback whether that be positive or more constructive. 

Background

Scott has over 30 years’ clerking experience and joined St. Mary’s in 2007. 

He is a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks Management Committee and chaired their annual conference in 2016. 

Scott is a member of The Bar Council Remuneration Committee and The Bar Council Regulatory Reform Working Group.

He has worked with the Family Law Bar Association and Legal Aid Agency on improving training guides and processes related to CCMS and VHCC. 

Scott has written a number of articles and spoken at several events on a range of topics including: family legal aid billing, fair allocation of work, and returning to work post-pandemic.
